Collins Lake Trout Pens

CIFFI sponsos several trout pens at Collins Lake. Trout, ranging is size from 3/4 to 1 pound, are placed in the pens each fall. Over the course of the next few months the fish are fed as they double and tripple their weight. In the early spring the trout are released into the lake for the benefit of anglers. In these photos CIFFI volunteers and people from ther local area help the Department of Fish & Game transfer the fish from the hatchery truck to the pens.
